If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we will assist you with an exchange, credit note or a refund.
Our policy lasts 14 days from the receipt of your order. Once you have notified us of your intention to return an item please post the parcel back to us within 5 working days.
Unless faulty or an incorrect item was sent the return postage is at the customers cost however once an item is received back Acorn will post out exchanges at our cost.
In the event a refund is provided it will be for the cost of the goods excluding the postage. If an order qualified for free postage but once it is in full or partly refunded it would no longer be eligible for free postage the usual postage charge will be deducted from the refund amount.
To be eligible for an exchange or return, your item must be unworn and unwashed, in it’s original condition, with Acorn Kids swing tags attached and you must also have a receipt or proof of purchase.
Please note there is no change of mind refund on items purchased using a credit note or items from the sale sections. An online credit will be issued to you in these circumstances. (This does not include full priced items purchased during a store wide discount, as these are current stock they are eligible for a refund if not suitable).

We recommend you wash your Acorn cotton hat with a gentle cool machine wash in a mild detergent.
Line dry in the shade taking care to ensure the shape of the hat and brim are maintained.
Cool iron on the reverse side if required.
Do not soak, rub, wring, bleach or tumble dry.
Beautiful hat and fabric the only ones that my daughter wears actually. They wash up well- last the distance and are light weight and easy to pack and offer good sun protection.
Just taking away one star as I went up a size this time to xl and you have to tie the chin strap- my daughter is 6 and this is tricky- so we cut them off and now she can’t wear it if there is wind - prefer the toggle… works well for all seasons!

Our reversible styles feature a chin tie without a toggle to allow full reversibility, as the cord wouldn’t pass through the eyelets with a toggle. On the other hand, all of our non-reversible styles do come with a toggle. A few seasons ago, we experimented with a reversible style that had a detachable tie with a toggle, but we found customers had issues with lost cords and found the press studs fiddly. At Acorn, quality and durability are our top priorities, so we chose to keep the reversible hats with the tie cord and the non-reversible styles with the toggle for the best experience.
